Children
We welcome children to Highfield; we can provide a travel cot
and bedding, and baby listening facilities. Well behaved
children over 8 years of age are welcome to dine with
their parents
in the Highfield Restaurant from our daily menu. As an alternative
for our young guests we can offer High Tea served between
4.30pm and 5.15pm.
When children share a room with their parents the following
charges apply:
~ 2 years to 8 years = £15.00 per night for BB & High
Tea
~ 8 years to 14 years = Half Adult Price
Special Occasions
For that special occasion, we would be happy to provide:
- Flower
arrangement: from £25.00, please advise when
ordering cost & message
- A bottle of Champagne on ice from £29.00 & Hand
Made Chocolates from £10.00.
If you require this service,
please advise us when making your reservation. Deposits
To secure your reservation a deposit is requested according
to the following scale:
~ 1 to 2 days - £50.00 per room.
~ 3 days or more - £40.00 per room per day (I.E. a
4 night stay equals a deposit of £160.00)
Deposits are only refundable at the absolute
discretion of the management and if the cancelled accommodation
can
be re-let.

Cancellations
When a reservation
has been made, both the guest and the hotel enter into a
legally binding contract. In the event of a cancellation
being made within one week prior to the day of arrival,
no show bookings and any reduction
in the duration of a guests stay, the guests will be charged
in full.
If the cancelled accommodation can be re-let at the same rate,
a full or partial refund may be made to the guest at the discretion
of the management.
To avoid any disappointment in case of cancellation, please
ask for details of a Holiday Cancellation Insurance Policy,
as recommended by The Cumbria Tourist Board.
Payment
Payment is accepted by Cash, personal cheques supported by
a banker card, MasterCard, Visa, Maestro, Solo, and American
Express.
Arrival / Departure Times
On the day of arrival your room will be available for occupation
from 2 p.m. Check out is by 10.30am
Dinner is served from 6.30p.m until 8.30 p.m, if you expect
to arrive after 8.30 p.m please advise our reception.
No Service Charge Included.
Gratuities are entirely at our guest’s discretion
